September 1, 2010 10:45am - We thought it was time to put some humor into our lives, so the weekend of September 3 - September 5, 2010 we wii be showing Will Ferrell's new comedy, The Other Guys, also with Mark Wahlberg, Dwayne Johnson, and everyone's favorite, Samuel L. Jackson.
NYPD Detectives Christopher Danson and P.K. Highsmith are the baddest and most beloved cops in New York City. They don't get tattoos - other men get tattoos of them. Two desks over and one back, sit Detectives Allen Gamble and Terry Hoitz. You've seen them in the background of photos of Danson and Highsmith, out of focus and eyes closed. They're not heroes - they're "the Other Guys." But every cop has his or her day and soon Gamble and Hoitz stumble into a seemingly innocuous case no other detective wants to touch that could turn into New York City's biggest crime. It's the opportunity of their lives, but do these guys have the right stuff?
August 25, 2010 3:16pm - Never fear! We have not been turned into a Chinese restaurant. At least, not permanently. Instead, the Ambridge Family Theatre had the pleasure of playing the role of Chopstix Chinese kitchen in the film that has been under production in Ambridge the past few weeks, One for the Money. The producers of the film have been terrific, bringing fun, tourists, business, and a touch of Hollywood to our town. We hope you've enjoyed their presence as as much as we have. If you haven't seen what they've been up to yet, take a walk down Merchant Street.
In the meantime, we remain open. You can't see our marquee right now, but the weekend of August 27 - August 29, 2010 we wii be presenting the fantasy film, The Last Airbender.
The world is divided into four kingdoms, each represented by the element they harness, and peace has lasted throughout the realms of Water, Air, Earth, and Fire under the supervision of the Avatar, a link to the spirit world and the only being capable of mastering the use of all four elements.
